fantastic from start to finish, we paid quite a reasonable rate but were allocated a suite, staff superb, food fab, only slight downside is the swimming pool a bit small, excellent location for central salzburg

Close to the town centre and the breakfast was great. Staff also very helpful and friendly and for once, non-smoking rooms were really non-smoking: They didn't smell of stale smoke covered with air fragrancer nor did the air conditioner belt out re-cycled smoke from smoking rooms as it does in many hotels. The only disappointment was the swimming pool - it was very small, just a large jacuzzi really, but the rest of the fitness centre was well equipped.

Crowne Plaza is in a very good location opposite the Mirabelle Platz. We checked in late in the evening but the reception clerk was extremely helpful explaining where all local amenities were and also the best sites to visit and which tours to avoid. There was also a good little swimming pool and exercise area that seems to be rarely used. The room was a reasonable size and well furnished and supplied with complimentary bottles of water. Only complaint would be with the heating/air conditioning which remained stuffy throughout our stay whatever the setting. Thank God for an open window.

Very helpful staff - especially concierge who I unfortunately have forgotten his name... Free computer at reception for guests.. Pittar restaurant in basement well worth using. I would happily stay there again.
