The Tirana International Hotel embodies the history of sovietized Albania -- a landmark of the sleek Soviet modern style of architecture on one side of Tirana's monumental central square (facing the sturdy Italian style buildings of the Fascist occupation on the other). Italians of a more recent vintage have done wonders to modernize the hotel and make it very comfortable for the 21st century business or leisure traveler, and the location is unparalleled: in the very heart of this capital city, within walking distance of all the historical and fashionable sites.

Hotel was fine, room rather small for an executive room, restaurant and service good, admin slightly shaky but OK in the end.
